The Road to Hana and Wai'anapanapa State Park
When we were in Maui two years ago, we really enjoyed our trip to Hana and thought we should do it again. We got up really early, had a McDonalds breakfast to go and headed down the road to Hana.

| Our first stop along the road. The girls got binoculars after our whale watching tour yesterday. They love using them! |

| A lot of the days we have woken up to High Surf Warnings. The surf on this side of the island is huge!! |
 |
| They were doing some road work and there was a traffic light in the middle of no where, which we waited at |
Waianapanapa State Park is just before you get to Hana. We stopped here last time we took the road to Hana. The girls loved the little hike to the cave and down to the Black Sand Beach. This park also has a Sea Arch and a Blow Hole. The Blow Hole was fantastic this time, as the surf was so massive.

The Black Sand Beach was very entertaining, this time. We had a great time watching other tourist come down to the waters edge and walk way too far out on the beach and have huge waves come and almost take them out! We kept the girls and ourselves well above the high water line. It is such a beautiful place, especially watching the waves come in.

We took a family photo down on the beach, just like we did when we visited two year ago.
