Last Week of School in Edmonton

I took this photo last week the day the movers came and moved our things out.

Moving Out

The movers arrived to pack all our things up and take them to storage.

The girls and I are staying for the last week of school with our good friends Brad and Karen. They live just across the Henday from us and it will be a very easy drive to get Elyse to school.

Cul d'Sac Goodbye BBQ

Scott came back to Edmonton for the weekend to finalize all the paper work for the sale of our Edmonton home. I planned a Cul d'Sac wide BBQ to say goodbye to all our wonderful neighbors.

We are going to miss our little community here in Edmonton.

We found a new home!

Our Edmonton house sale is set to close on June 22 and we hadn't found a new home in Creston until yesterday. We are excited to find something that we wanted to purchase, our compromise is the girls will be sharing a bedroom as this place is only has 2 bedrooms.

We will only be homeless until July 8!!

Soccer Season May & June

Elyse wanted to play soccer again this spring. I found out that the Hampton Community league does a soccer program as well (Elyse has done the Timbit program put on by the Glastonbury Community for the last 3 seasons). The Hampton Community soccer program is on Mondays and Wednesdays, which doesn't conflict with Sparks (the Timbit program was Tuesdays and Thursdays).

When I was getting info to register Elyse, I had discovered that Brynn was too young to play. But when it was registration night, they told me that they had talked to the Community League board/president and they would let Brynn register. This was fantastic news, Brynn was so excited and she will play Wednesdays at the same time and location as Elyse, super easy to get them both there. We ride our bikes to all the games and the girls love to play with the more laid back teams, the focus is having fun and learning the skills to play.

Things we have been up to in June

Scott has been gone since the begining of May to Creston for his new job.

But we have been super busy with soccer, Sparks and enjoying the beautiful weather!

June 6 - hope this means we will have a fantastic summer of boating once we get back to BC

The Sparks got to go bowling at West Edmonton Mall as their celebration of the end of the year.
Brynn even got to join in with the Sparks, it was very entertaining to see her lug the 10 pin balls around.

My fellow Spark Guiders got me some beautiful flowers as a farewell present/thank you gift. I worked with 2 wonderful women this year at Sparks, I will miss them and their enthusiasm.

Brynn and I also have been attending a preschool program held by the City of Edmonton, called Come Play with Me. Brynn has been having a blast, I have had to pull her from the Callingwood/Lymburn Community Playschool starting in September, due to our move back to Creston. I'll have to try and find her a playschool in Creston once we get there in July.

Since we don't know what we will be doing housing wise once our house is sold in a few weeks; we bought the girls scooters. I think they will be great to have while their bikes are in storage.

Movie Night at the Park

The Hampton's Community League held an outdoor Movie Night at a local park.

We rode our bikes to the park, bought popcorn, found a few friends from our cul d'sac  and enjoyed watching Zootopia.

Souvenirs from Hawaii

While I was cleaning and dusting to list the house I took note of the photos from our last 4 trips to Hawaii.

When we travel we don't buy very many souvenirs, we buy a photo frame and then put a photo from our trip in the frame. We started this tradition on our first trip together to Hawaii.
