New Camera Bag

I just got a case a couple of weeks ago, for the camera I got at Christmas. It is a Lowepro backpack that all the camera gear fits into the bottom part of the pack, leaving room in the top half for all my other junk. I also like the fact that I can take one shoulder strap off and sling the pack around and access my camera from the side.

Valentine's Day on the Ski Hill

Scott had to Patrol both Saturday and Sunday (Feb 14 & 15). Here are a few photos of Scott Snowboarding. The conditions on Saturday were ok, we really haven't had enough snow and you have to pick your way through the rocks, trees and ice.

We had our Valentine's on Friday evening before we left for the ski hill, these are the great flowers Scott got me. I took these photos today ( I got them last week) I love how great they look after a week.
I am not sure if I have let everyone know, but I just got a Permanent Part Time position!!! (my first since I gave up my line when we thought we were moving to Halifax). My new line is only 0.3 time (1.0 is full time), but it is a position and has benefits. I basically work a 12 hour day, have a day off, work a 12 hour night then have 14 off, repeat, then 6 days off then repeat the whole thing again with 2 14's off and a 6 off.

Frost

Last week I took a few photos of the frost that we had. We had an inversion and the low clouds left behind very cool frost on everything.

Here is Polly looking out the window as either the neighbor's cat or birds... She looks huge on the little arm of the chair.

I was playing with my new camera and thought this photo of a frog plant spike was nice.

Long Time No Post....

Things have been chugging along here, since my last post. Nothing too exciting.

Christmas was here in the Kootenays, with Scott's mom and dad joining us. Brian (Scott's younger brother) was suppose to fly in on Christmas Eve, but since Air Canada basically gave up and stopped all flights in and out of Vancouver, Brian could make it. Sarah, Jim and baby Zoe (Scott's younger sister and family) arrived on boxing day. It was so much fun see them, and of course playing with our niece Zoe.

Scott got me for Christmas a new camera. A digital SLR - a Nikon D60, so here are a few snap shots that I have taken since Christmas.

Sarah and Jim brought the whole family for a visit including the budgie Scooter, this is cousin Polly very interested in our visitor

Scott playing hockey during the Christmas Break (I took this picture from way up in the stands with my zoom lens - I am impressed that I caught him in action, I can only imagine what kind of photos I'll be able to take once I know how to use the camera)

This the snow that was on the roof in early January - it has all melted now, but I had to shovel a bit off the edge because it was starting to melt and push out our new gutters
