Castlegar Visit

The week after we got home from Ontario, Scott's Mom & Dad were in Castlegar for the BC Seniors Games. Margret plays on a soft ball team that was at the Games, and Barry is their coach.
Since they were so close, Elyse and I drove over to visit for the afternoon. The location was great, right at a local park, which included a playground, that Elyse loved!

Down the big slide, she needed to hold my hand for the first couple of times down
She loves to swing

Peek-a-boo!

No hand holding needed now

Carrie & Ken's Wedding

Saturday was a great day. Carrie & Ken had good weather for their wedding.
We started the day in London, at the Delta Armouries where we were all staying. The girls all got their hair and makeup done across the street from the hotel, then we got dressed in the Bridal Suite.
The ceremony was held in Ken's home town of Strathroy, and the reception back in London at the Delta Armouries.

We had a bunch of photos taken after the ceremony in Strathroy, this was the temperature in the shade! (Good thing the humidity wasn't high that afternoon)

A family photo - too bad Miss E was napping in the shade of the hedge

Elyse was eating apples from the center pieces at the reception. The serving staff kept coming by and "cleaning/clearing" the table. Her half chewed on apple kept disappearing! I think her table was the only one with half the apples gone from the center piece at the end of the evening

Spa Afternoon

Carrie's new sister-in-law Lorraine, set up a great afternoon at the spa; the day before the wedding. What a fun way to relax with the rest of the bride's maids. We all got manicures and pedicures! Lorraine even organized to have drinks and sandwiches/wraps brought in for us, Yummy!
After wards we all headed over to a BBQ at Ken's parents place and then on to the rehearsal.

My stylish red toe nails, I guess if you are getting them done, you have to go all the way with them...

Visiting in London

We got to go visit friends while we were in Ontario. Becky, Derek and Matthew use to live in Creston and now live in London. Matthew is only 6 months old, and this was the first time we got to meet him. Becky had invited other friends of ours over for dinner too; Jason, Ginny, Olivia and Cameron. Jason and Ginny use to live just down the street from us. They moved to London just before Elyse was born, Cameron is 4 weeks older than Elyse (their house was the one we were in the process of purchasing when Elyse was born).

Happy Birthday Scott

We celebrated Scott's Birthday while we were in Ontario. Scott's choice of activity was to go to the beach! (we went to the Pinery).

Carrie picked up the best Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Icing to celebrate with.

Elyse and I got Scott a new Flat Screen TV - It wouldn't fit into our suitcase so we added lots of photos of TVs to his card, then we picked it up in Calgary on our way home
I think Scott is still trying to figure out what all the pictures of TVs mean...

Elyse, loved the chocolate cake too!!

The new TV!

The Pinery

We went out to Ontario a week before Carrie and Ken's wedding. It was great to spend some time together before wedding madness ensued. Carrie and Ken took us to the Pinery, a Provincial Park located right on the shores of Lake Huron. Elyse loved playing on the beach with all the soft sand, shallow warm water, so different than Kootenay Lake.

Relaxing on the beach

See Auntie Carrie, the water is warm!!
(Carrie thought the water was cold, she really doesn't know cold until she gets to swim in Kootenay Lake)
