Squishy Baff

Santa brought Elyse this year Squishy Baff!
Basically it is the particles found in diapers that when you add water too they expand and create a jelly like consistency. Elyse loved it!! And super easy clean up, just add the second pouch (of basic table salt) and the goo turns back into water and down the drain it went.
She keeps asking to do it again. The box only had enough to do 2 baths, so we are saving the other one for another day.

Brynn just wanted to get in, but we didn't let her as she would have just eaten the goo!

Christmas Dinner

We had a great Christmas dinner with my brother Dan and his fiance Leah. Instead of turkey we did Ham, Yum!
My plate all ready for the food!

Christmas Morning

The girls unpacking their stockings
Santa brought the girls sleds

Scott and I got the girls puzzles - the letters and animals are their names

A pressure washer to clean the boat and the car/truck
I have been looking for years for a chest pack for the SLR. Scott found me one!

Scott's Mom and Dad got us (or me) a remote starter for the truck. Yeah for not having to go out in the cold to start the truck to have it warm and ready to take Elyse to school in the morning.

Christmas Eve and We are Ready for Santa!

We had a very quite Christmas Eve this year. We went to a great Dim Sum place we found for a late lunch/early dinner (Cha For Tea Palace). Delicious! We then watched A Christmas Story and a few other Christmas movies. We all got new PJ's, the girls and myself all got cupcake print and Scott got plaid ones.

Watching A Christmas Story
Opening their Christmas Eve presents
Yeah! Cupcake PJ's
A new book to read tonight
The wrapping paper is the most fun!

I was trying to get a nice photo of Scott and the girls in front of our tree... it didn't quite work :)

More Tree Decorating

We decorated ice cream cones as Christmas trees this year. Elyse loved it! And Scott and I had fun too.

Ready For Christmas

I took the girls this year to visit Santa at West Ed Mall - Brynn was ok with it as long as she didn't look at Santa
Elyse finished making all the felt decorations for the banner. Grandma Stokes got it for her and they worked hard at making all the decorations when they were here for Elyse's Birthday

"Sparkle" our Elf on the Shelf was busy this year, keeping an eye on the girls from all different places around the house. Elyse loved this spot when Sparkle spent the day in her stocking
The stocking are hung and we are ready for Christmas
The tree and the "baby fence" all around the bottom. The ottoman, Big present and the chair all worked to keep Brynn away!

Candy Cane Lane

When we first moved to Edmonton we discovered Candy Cane Lane. It wasn't going on when we first got here, as it is only over Christmas.  But we put it on our "Edmonton Bucket List". Candy Cane Lane is a street in here in the west end that almost all the houses are decorated with Christmas lights.
Here is a link to the website: Candy Cane Lane
We picked a warm night and bundled up the girls for a walk to check out all the Christmas Lights. It was a lot of fun, and we are thinking it will be a great Edmonton Christmas Tradition.

You can book a spot on one of the horse drawn wagons/sleighs

A view up the street
Both Scott and I had a good laugh over this display. Kokanee as the bait!
