Leanne has started stockpiling toys to keep Elyse entertained on the plane to Hawaii. We borrowed a bunch of My Little Ponies from Pam. They have been a big hit.

Playing with Play-Dough
The Easter Bunny brought Elyse some Play-Doh last year, it is still a big hit. Little known fact... Play-Doh was originally invented to be a wall paper cleaner.... now you know.

A Sewing Project

* I found a web site with a short tutorial on how to make a little girls dress out of old tee-shirts. So I had to give it a try!! (while my mom was down visiting of course, because her advice while the project was going on was invaluable. I couldn't have done it with out her)

| All the tee-shirts I used - I think I got all of them at the local second hand store for a couple of dollars |

| I used an other dress of Elyse's to make a basic pattern for the dress - it was pretty free form doing this project |

| Elyse loves the dress! I think I will have to add a waist band of the dark burgundy colour to give the waist of the dress some shape, also it is a bit big on Elyse, so this fall it will fit great! |
Elyse got these great mittens from our friend Tina in Fruit Vale. They are go all the way up to her elbows, so when she wears them in the snow, the snow won't get on/in to her wrists

Taking Bandit for a Walk
We have a pretty good deal going with our friends Laurie and Robert. They look after Elyse when Leanne and Scott for have to work, then we look after their dog Bandit when they travel south in the winter. We had him for about a month. Elyse loves playing with him and telling him to stop barking!

Visit from Grandma and a Hair Cut
Scott had a very tough and exhausting work trip to a beer conference in New Orleans, so Leanne's Mom came down to help take care of Elyse. While she was here, Elyse got another hair cut.
