Happy Halloween

Elyse and I got to dress up together for the Girl Guide and Pathfinder Halloween Party. I was Mama Bug and Elyse was a Lady Bug. After the party Scott and I took Elyse Trick or Treating, she didn't really understand all about the candy, maybe next year. But she did like to visiting with our neighbours and they loved her!

Elyse's Hat

Elyse got the most amazingly cute toque and scarf set. She has been wearing it all fall, it is the perfect weight for our mild weather.
Thanks you very much Auntie Sylvia!

A Tough Day

Elyse has begun to refuse to nap in the afternoon. Today she was so tired by the time we had dinner, that she fell asleep in her high chair.
She didn't even wake up when I put a new diaper and PJ`s on her; she slept until 7 the next morning!

Victoria - Beacon Hill Park

Saturday we spent the day with Rob and Aidan (Jen had to work). We put Aidan`s car seat into the truck next to Elyse`s and then we all headed down to Beacon Hill Park. Our first stop was at the petting zoo. Aidan loved the goats, but Elyse was a bit hesitant. After all the fun at the zoo, we loaded the kids into the strollers and had a great walk along the pathway overlooking the ocean. After lunch and a nap, we all headed up to Chemanius for dinner with Scott`s Grandma.

Victoria - Visiting with Jen, Rob and Aiden

The Friday morning of the Thanks Giving week end, we headed over to Victoria. The weather was a bit stormy, so we didn't spend much time out on the deck of the ferry.

Once we made it to Victoria, we stayed with Scott's cousin Jen and her family. They visited with us this past summer, and Elyse and Aidan play so well together. We spent the afternoon on the beach, then picked up Rob after he was done work. We all ate dinner together down on the wharf, and then a quick tour of down town Victoria in the dark.

The best photo I got, not bad for out of the truck window while driving!

Vancouver Trip - Visiting Great Grandma, Canucks Game

We got to do a lot of visiting during our trip. We spent one morning visiting with Elyse's Great Grandma. This is the 4th time they have gotten to spend some time together.

I got to spend the afternoon with my really good friend Lori Ann, (she used to live here in Creston, before they moved to Surrey).

Vancouver Trip - Seawall and Aquarium

We planned to spend Thanks Giving this year on Vancouver Island. But we decided to make a small vacation out of it. We spent 4 nights in Delta with my Auntie Nur and Uncle John, making small day trips from their place and then we left for the Island on Friday morning, and spent one night with Scott's cousin Jen and her family in Victoria, then we spent a couple nights with Scott's Aunt Louise (Jen's Mom) in Genoa Bay, near Duncan. Then we spent one more night in Delta, to break up our drive home.

We wanted to do a few things in Vancouver this trip, so we spent the day down town. We first met up with my Auntie Nur for lunch, Yummy Dim Sum!!

Elyse fell asleep on our way to the Aquarium so we let her continue to sleep by going for a walk on the sea wall. It is great that she stays asleep when we transfer her from car seat to stroller (and back).

Once Elyse was awake we spent a couple of hours at the Aquarium. Elyse loved the dolphin show!

After Scott's brother Brian was off of work, we met up with him at his place. Elyse and I stayed at his apartment to relax, while Scott and Brian went off to have oysters at Rodneys (it is starting to be a tradition, for Scott and Brian).
