House Boating Aug 30 - Sept 5, 2016

We decided to have different theme days for our house boating adventure and today is Mexican!

After breakfast we moved on down the lake and up Anstey Arm.

We had the small boat leave to head back to the dock to pick up Scott.

Our first day:

Miss Bessie is a 66 ft tri level house boat that has "5 Queen Size Private State Rooms plus 1 bunk bed room • 3 Queen cuddy Rooms • 3 Full Private Heads" and a hot tub!

And we are off!

We had to wait for a while to get permission to move from Mara Lake through the channel, under/through the bridges and out on to Shuswap Lake. Our boat was so tall we had to wait for the trains to go and then the train bridge swung open to allow our boat through.

Scott's bosses are in town and so he wasn't able to join us yet on the house boat. We will be taking the small ski boat we brought along to go back to the dock and pick up Scott.

Kangaroo Creek Farm

One of the things we really wanted to do while visiting with Scott's mom and dad was go to Lake Country and visit Kangaroo Creek Farm.
