Winter Walk

We headed out with our friends Brad and Karen (and their dogs Ginger & Whiskey) for a winter walk along the river and to get some photos done for our Christmas card.
Here is a few of the shots we got at the "Quesnell Balls" or officially called the Talus Dome.
A fun afternoon walking along the river's edge.
Setting up the camera so Brad can just point the camera and click the shutter

Thank you Brad and Karen for coming along and taking our photo

Playing in the Snow

Elyse loves to play in the snow, now that Brynn is more sure footed and able to walk in boots she loves playing in the snow too.

Hard to get a nice smile from Elyse, always a cheesy grin!

Goodbye Corolla, Hello RAV4

On my way downtown on Saturday Nov 8, I had a crash in Scott's car. I ended up with a bumped elbow/forearm possible dislocation of my radius bone and the car was written off. Plus, I never did make it to the CPR course that I was signed up for; but I got to sign up for and completed a different CPR course this past weekend. Today we just bought a 2012 RAV4 for Scott to commute in.

Happy 5th Birthday Elyse

Its hard to believe that our little girl is 5 years old!! We had a busy day today, we brought Rainbow Fruit Kabobs in to Elyse's class to help celebrate her birthday. Both girls also had swim lessons this evening and we had BBQ'd hamburgers as per Elyse's request for dinner. We did it, even though it was -15 C outside!
Thank you Auntie Carrie, Uncle Ken and Laura for the cookbook and oven mitts. We can't wait to get into the kitchen!

Elyse's Birthday Party

We held Elyse 5th Birthday party today. We invited the kids from the cul 'd sac and a couple of her friends from school. She was very excited to have a PJ Party. They all wore their pajamas, we had pancakes, made fruit loop necklaces, read a book out loud and decorated pillow cases. There were a lot of owls around the party, even the cupcakes were decorated like owls. All the guest got to take home their very own stuffie; Beanie Boos!
Elyse and Brynn helping make cupcakes
All the Beanie Boos ready to go home with the guests
The Boos had small tags thanking our guests for joining us for the Pajama Party!

We decorated the table to look like a bed. Sheets, blanket were table cloths and a real pillow at the head. The head board was crepe paper streamers

Story Time!
We read Robert Munsch's Pajama Day

The super cute and easy to do Owl Cupcakes. Just a couple of Oreo cookies and a few Reese's Pieces
Amazing owl Candles I found at Party City and they even came in a package of 5!
