Osoyoos Trip July 20-23, 2012

We joined Auntie Nur, Uncle John, Andrea, Ebru and the kids for a fun fill long weekend in Osoyoos. We arrived on Friday afternoon in the craziest storm. If anyone knows the area... there was so much rain that we figured we could get out behind the boat that we were towing and water ski down the hill!

The hotel parking lot had about 5" of water in it when we arrived. Things settled down quickly after the storm, we stored the boat on the trailer overnight, next to the hotel in a city owned boat/trailer free, fenced parking lot.

My mom sent a parcel today, one of Elyse's favorite things from the parcel was the yellow slinky. I haven't taught her yet how it goes down stairs as I don't want her playing on the stairs but she is having lots of fun with it any ways.

It was a tiring day, after dinner Elyse was reading a book on the couch and the next thing we see is she has fallen asleep!

The Outfit Fits!!

Elyse got this out fit last summer from Auntie Leah and Uncle Dan; she wore the shorts a bit last summer while wearing a cloth diaper but this summer it fits great with underwear on

Making Jam... the Helper

Elyse and I have been picking lots of Strawberries this summer, now to make some jam!

I picked a bit of rhubarb from our garden, so we could make some strawberry-rhubarb jam. I got a few strawberries out, along with a butter knife and got Elyse to "chop" up the strawberries (the strawberries needed to be crushed for the jam, so she could do what ever with the strawberries). 

But Elyse ended up eating all the strawberries that she was cutting up. She was busy for quite a while chopping.

I had Eastin over this morning while his mom was running errands. Elyse and Eastin play very well together, even tho there is just over a year difference in age.
