7 Month Update

Brynn weighs 15 lbs 1 oz and is 63 cm tall (Oct 3, 2013)

We've had quite the month of firsts... well most of them happened within a 1 week period!
- Crawling on hands and knees
- Sitting with no assistance
- First 2 teeth (Bottom Left Sept 14 and Bottom Right Sept 16)
- First Cold = snot!

Brynn is now taking a bottle, which is great! it means that I can be away from her for longer than 3-4 hours

With all the firsts Brynn hasn't been sleeping very well, it was at the point of only getting 1.5 hours at a time, even through out the night!
We began sleeping training, and it was 44 minutes of crying the first night
She has problems settling as she just wants to crawl, sit and is now pulling herself up in the crib
Hope with time things get better with her sleep.

Drumheller - The World's Biggest Dinosaur! then Home

Elyse loved being in the mouth of the Dinosaur

Toe Fuzz!
We took the back roads home, there were no corners!
Then we saw a moose, in a field!
The sun is going down and we are on our way home... A really fun day!

Drumheller - Horse Thief Canyon and the Hoo Doos

We were trying to get some good family photos

Drumheller - Royal Tyrrell Museum

Since moving to Edmonton we have wanted to go to Drumheller and show Elyse all the dinosaurs. Then we saw Amazing Race Canada this spring and really wanted to check out Horse Thief Canyon, near Drumheller, but with how busy we were this summer it didn't happen.
I was doing some reading and it was recommended to go in the fall when it wasn't smokin' hot or busy. We decided to do a day trip down to Drumheller, with the idea that if we didn't get it all done we would stay the night.
It was a pleasant 22 C and for the beginning of October, that was fantastic! Elyse had so much fun at the museum, I loved the views from Horse Thief Canyon, the other highlight was the World's Largest Dinosaur, which you could climb all the way up inside to it's mouth!

Royal Tyrrell Museum
T-Rex!
The museum had lots of other displays, portraying before dinosaurs and the mammals rise after they died off

Elyse loved measuring herself up against the dinosaur leg.
She insisted that Scott and I had to measure ourselves too!
