Scott's Trip to St. Louis

Scott got to go to the new brewing head quarters in St. Louis for a week. Elyse and I stayed home and had lots of fun together.

Here are a few photos from Scott's trip that are non-work related ie brewing meetings:

Scott also got to take in a base ball game

Elyse's First Solid Food

Elyse was really interested in what we were eating for dinner so we tried her with some cooked apple puree.

I think... I want some. Do I want some Dad?
Ok, I want it now
Humm... what is this stuff?
Yuck! Get it out of my mouth now!
Ok, I am done now. No more

Exersaucer Found!

I found an exersaucer at the local Gleaners for $3.00!! The best 3 bucks I've spent in a long time.

Of course Elyse loves her new to her excersaucer. It is giving my arms a break from holding her in the standing position. She likes the Jolly Jumper still but it is a bit of a chore to get her in and out, while with the excersaucer you can just pick her up and put her in it.

The saucer isn't a really fancy one, it doesn't have all kinds of nifty toys attached to the tray. But the seat spins around and I just put all of Elyse's own toys on the tray. Which she promtly picks them up and throws them on the floor, and then I pick them back up for her - what a fun new game for us to play!

5 Month Update

Elyse is now 5 months old!!

She weighs 13 lbs 15 oz and is 25 1/2 " long

- She loves to growl at you and her most recent accomplishements are blowing bubbles making raspberries.

- She still loves the Jolly Jumper and she seems to have "remembered" how to roll over now. We now have to start baby proofing the house now, as we can't keeping her in one place any more.

- She just loves to be standing in your lap and I am on a mission to find an excersaucer for her, so I don't have to hold her all day.

- Everything she grasps on to go directly into her mouth.

- She now sleeps the whole night her crib in her own room!!! Although she still is up a couple of times to nurse. But I keep remembering back to when she was in our room, on my chesst or in the bassinett and up every couple of hours to nurse, so when she only is up a couple of times I am ok with that.

- She is definitly making strange with new people she meets.

A Visit from Grandma and Grandpa

My mom and dad came down for the weekend to visit us and Elyse. It was so nice to have them come visit even if it was only for a short time. They haven't seen Elyse since Christmas and were amazed at how much she has changed. Elyse made strange with both of my parents to start with, but eventually she gave them both lots of smiles and cuddles.
Here are a few photos of their visit:
