Swinging and Sliding

I finally found out from a fellow mom, where there was a baby swing in town. It turns out there is only one!! at a park within walking distance from our place (well pretty much all of Creston is within walking distance). Burns Park is located between 20th & 25th Avenues S (we are on 16th Ave N), only a 10-15 minute walk.

There is also a slide at the park, the top is about chest high on Scott, but Elyse climbs up with no fear

Happy Birthday

Miss E got to help me unwrap my birthday gifts this year. She was totally into pulling my new Kobo ereader cover/case out of the gift bag. And of course she was putting it back into the bag and pulling it out again!

Nesting Stellars Jays

We have a pair of Steller's Jays nesting in the cedars in our backyard. It has been a fun couple of days watching them bring grass, twigs and things to build their nest with.

I was getting the laundry ready to go outside to dry and I looked over because Elyse was whining.

She was up on the drying rack and couldn't get down!

Of course I didn't help her get down, I took photos instead.

Happy Mother's Day

Elyse and I attend a Thursday kids and mom group called Muffins and More. This past week, the kids got to paint and decorate little boxes that the lid flips up into a photo frame. Elyse did such a good job painting her box, and the staff put a tonne of Hershey Chocolate Kisses inside.
