A Sick Girl
It all started on Saturday afternoon (Feb 12). Scott was away with the truck in Vancouver, attending a Canucks Game and Elyse started throwing up, I had no Gravol in the house, so I took her to ER to pick some up because there are no pharmacies open in Creston later at night and on a weekend. Of course since I didn't have the truck, I called a friend to take Elyse and I to ER. Even with Gravol suppositories, Elyse was still throwing up every couple of hours, at least it wasn't every 15-30 minutes like before I took her to the ER.

She stopped throwing up on Sunday afternoon, and the fever started! She continued to refuse to eat, drink or even nurse. She was really burning up on Monday morning and it didn't matter what I gave her she didn't cool down much and still refused to eat or drink. That afternoon Elyse had a very foul diarrhea. I took her into the ER again on that night (Feb 14) as she was so very lethargic, total rag doll like. When they weighed her she weighed less than she did at her 1 year vaccination appointment!
The staff hooked her up to an IV, and held us over night. In the morning she was a bit better but still not nursing or drinking, so they admitted her. We stayed another night and got discharged home on Wednesday morning. It took until today (Friday Feb18) before she started to be even a little bit like her self.

Happy Valentines Day
I made these mail boxes for all of the Pathfinder girls as well as myself, Elyse and my co-Guider Laurie. It is too bad that Elyse was so sick and couldn't come to the Pathfinder's Valentines Party.

Ski Weekend at Big White
February 4-7, 2011
Last year we did a ski weekend with our friends Brad and Karen in Rossland, so this year we got to have a great ski weekend vacation at Big White, out side of Kelowna. We are all hoping to make this an annual event for us, anyone know of good condo deals at ski resorts in the southern interior of BC?? Scott and I have already been planning the menu!
We left on Friday after our baby sitter got out of school for lunch (a Big Thanks to her mom & dad for letting her miss a whole afternoon of school) and came home on Monday ( a pro-D day for Christina). The condo that we stayed at was owned by a friend of Karen's so we got it for the 3 nights for a great price.
Because we brought our baby sitter with us, I even got to ski both Saturday and Sunday. And of course since we were staying at a ski in/ski out condo we got to come back for lunches.

It was snowing almost all day on Sunday which was great for skiing, but this is what we had to deal with on Monday morning!! We almost got stuck in the parking garage as the hill out and up to the road was really, really steep.
