Andrea Visits!

My cousin Andrea came for a visit. So much fun!! We loved having her here, but Elyse really loved her. We will miss you, and have to come to the lower mainland for a visit soon.

Happy Family Day

It was a beautiful day today, so we all got out to enjoy the sunshine. Scott and Elyse went skiing at Rabbit Hill, while Brynn and I watched. Of course it was really busy but we all had fun.

11 Month Update

Brynn is 11 months old!

Hard to believe but she is now walking! 

A few notes of interest this month:

- She can wave Hi and Bye

- Loves to put things into and out of containers/boxes

- She can walk on her own (started out small at the beginning of the month with 9 unassisted steps in a row Jan 17/14); now she just needs to learn how to stand up on her own, she needs to pull up on something to get going

 * she learned to stand up on her own Feb 15/14, figured I'd put it into here 11 month update *

- Celebrated her first Valentines Day

- No words yet, a bit of babbling; but I did read that language development is put to wayside while they learn gross motor skills aka walking

Sunset and Pink Con-Trails

When we moved to Edmonton we said that the only views we seem to have is the weather, and again tonight is no different. Magnificent coloured airplane condensation trails, from the setting sun.

Making Valentines

We got Elyse's class list of names today, so Elyse is busy making her Valentines. All I did was cut the 2 different sized squares of paper, she has glued them together, written each of here classmates name on each one, along with a "from Elyse" and then decorated them all using rubber heart stamps, glitter glue and stickers.
