A visit with Dr. Ukpeh and Zucchini

Today we had another visit with Elyse's pediatrician Dr. Ukpeh. He is very happy with how she is doing, no concerns at all!! He will still follow her until she gets into school, but it is nice to know she is doing so well.
He gave Elyse these fun butterfly glasses, she is in love with them even though they don't fit well. I had to use her hair clips to clip the arms onto the side of her head.

The garden has been producing veggies like crazy this summer.
This zucchini is huge!!

Elyse Singing

On the way to the lake this morning I caught a cute video of Elyse singing Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen. She loves this song, and loves the YouTube version of the this song with Cookie Monster singing You have Cookie, Share it Maybe?

Cherry Picking

We got a membership again this year to Cherry Brook Farms, so we could pick "our tree"
Elyse was such a good picker, but none of the Cherries made it into the bucket!
This year we didn't get as many cherries, last year we got 3 big baskets and this year we barely got 2 baskets. We dehydrated lots this year and I made 4 cherry pies for the freezer and of course we ate fresh cherries until we could eat no more!
Yum! Cherries!

This was the year for Bogs, both Scott and I got each other them for our birthdays. No excuses this winter for not walking to work!

Midge Creek Boat Camping August Long Weekend

A bunch of our friends and us; all went boat camping at Midge Creek Provincial Park.  Scott and I have been talking about doing this for a few years now and we finally made it happen.

Midge Creek Park is boat access only and located directly across the lake from the Girl Guide Camp.

We were joined by half the brewery management team, there was lots of 'taste testing' being done!.

Elyse and Scott relaxing on the beach, close to "Chateau Stokes" - that's what everyone was calling our huge green tent with the front porch!
Megan and Elyse watching the train! The park is right next to the rail way tracks, at least the train only comes by twice, once on the way to Creston early in the evening and then once back to north to Nelson later on in the evening. Elyse loved the train, the engineers were great, honking the horn for her.
