18 holes of Golf

The brewery holds an annual golf day for its employees. We took a school bus from the brewery here in Creston to the Riondel (about an hour and 45 minutes north of Creston). The road has a lot of corners in it (this highway has been selected the best motorcycle road in BC), and there were a few people green by the time we got to the golf course.
This is a photo of our team: Scott and I, and a couple of trainees Eddie and Andrew
We played "best ball" against all the other teams - it is where everyone on your team takes their shot off the tee and where every the best shot (or best ball) lands every one takes their next shot from there. Our team managed to keep to par for the whole 18 holes :)
On the way back to Creston, there was quite a few guys needing to use the "facilities" as beer was the beverage of choice. When the bus driver found a safe place to pull over, the guys decided to take a dip in the lake after finding a private bush to pee on. It is hard to believe that summer is almost over, but this weekend proved that we have a bit more of summer left - it was warm enough to go swimming today !

Our Stuff Has Arrived

The movers arrived early in the morning - Tuesday September 4th

We basically lived in a maze of boxes and plants for the first day or so.

The moving company used sooooo.... much packing paper!! I ended up doing a lot of the unpacking so I flattened out most of the packing paper while unpacking and in total the pile was a couple feet tall !
Polly our cat likes to spend her time in the arched window above the front door (you can see part of the window on the right hand side in the picture above). She jumps there from the ledge above the sofa. (I'll post a photo later when I catch her up there)

Our dining room table looks like a postage stamp in our new house. I think we will be eventually buying a new dining set. The island also has concrete counter tops (like the rest of the counters in the house) but it has not been sealed yet, so we have to wet sand it and paint the sealer on it.

When the people moved out of the house they took the mirrors from above the sinks in the main bath room. So Scott and I bought some new ones, I think they look pretty good.

The movers came in on Thursday the 30 th of August and packed everything. The only things that were not packed were my house plants, a single bed, 2 lawn chairs, a tv, the laptop and all the food in the fridge/freezer.

On Friday August 31st the movers came a moved everything out. We had such a small house all of our stuff didn't even fill up the truck.
