Elyse's Snowman and Jessica the Red Panda Visits Again

Elyse was very proud of her snowman, it was only 8" tall and super cute.

Today Elyse's class pet Jessica came to visit us again. Brynn and Elyse were very excited to have Jessica stay over night again. 

Happy Family Day - Oil Kings Game

Scott and Elyse got some Oil King tickets for Christmas. We all got to go to the game today, and we all had a lot of fun. An early afternoon game was great, Brynn fell asleep in my lap during the second intermission and slept through to the end of the game. Good thing she had the ear muffs on and slept through the Oil Kings scoring 2 goals and winning the game!

Happy Valentine's Day and Fun in the Snow

A fun and special Valentine's day breakfast, pancakes with pink whipped cream and heart sprinkles.

Today is also Grandpa's Stokes' birthday. We were outside having so much fun, that we thought we send our birthday wishes from sunny, cold Edmonton to Grandpa in sunny, warm Arizona or which ever warm southern state they are in right now.

Our neighbors had their snow tube out for sledding down "Kid Mountain" on. Tie a rope to it and slide it around in a circle = instant kid fun!

Elyse's Hip Hop Dance Performance

Elyse's class has been practicing a hip hop dance during gym time for the last 6 weeks. The instructors have been teaching all the classes at the school and they put a show on for the school and invited parents to watch.

Getting Ready for Valentine's Day

We are getting ready for Valentine's Day. Elyse has been writing out her Valentine's to her classmates and her fellow Sparks. She has 27 students in her class plus her teacher and teacher assistant and her Spark group has 26 girls and 5 Guiders. She has been working very hard!

These were super easy to make. I cut 2 different size squares, Elyse glued the 2 different sizes together, then I cut slits for the pencils. Elyse wrote who it was for and also from Elyse on everyone of them; then she added some Hello Kitty stickers that she got for Christmas. We put pencils in them and off they went to School and Sparks. The only cost to these was buying the pencils, which I got at the Dollar Store for a total of $3.75!

We like to decorate a bit for the holidays and the easiest way for us is to hang different items from our light above the kitchen table. Elyse and I made these paper hearts. Super cute and easy!

Elyse had a friend over for a play date. Rehna and Elyse are good friends. They had a lot of fun doing crafts and playing. They made stain-glass melted crayon hearts for our patio doors.
