Elyse's Fairy Drawings

Elyse loves watching Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue. In the show the little girl loves to draw fairies, here are Elyse's drawings of all the fairies.
Complete with pom poms on their toes, "just like Tinker Bell!"

I love how her drawings are starting to look like something, not just scribbles of colour.

A Visit from Auntie Laurie and Uncle Robert

Our good friends from Creston Laurie and Robert (and their dog Bandit) stopped by for a visit on their way across Canada. It was really great to catch up with them and show them around our neighborhood. The visit was too short but really good.

We Miss You!

5 Month Update

Brynn is now 14 lbs 11.5 oz (August 27, 2013)

She has done a lot of travelling this month, to Creston BC and back and to Portage la Prairie Manitoba and back.
During our trip to Creston we found out she is not much of a traveler. She cried from north of Airdrie all the way to south of Calgary and also cried from Cranbrook to Creston (in Brynn's defense she did get immunization shots morning we left Edmonton).
We did have a much better trip home!

With our trip to Manitoba we left Edmonton at 5:00 am and arrived at 8:00 pm - and everyone traveled really well considering the length of time we were trapped in the truck. The return trip home went well too.
While in Manitoba she got to meet:
Great Grandma and Papa
Auntie Carrie, Uncle Ken and Cousin Laura
and all the other members of my mom's side of the family.


Highlights from this past month:
- First time out on the boat - she loved it!
- She can roll both right and left directions - back to tummy
- Can now roll from tummy to back
- She is up on all four (hands and knees), and then lunges forward
- We tried some rice cereal
- She does the "sea otter/clam smash" - holds a toy with both hands and while lying on her back smacks the toy on her tummy

- Trip to Portage la Prairie, Manitoba

We have been busy this summer checking out all the trails here in Edmonton. 

We are really liking the river valley trails, we will see if we use them this winter.

My side of the family all got together at my Grandparent's place in Portage la Prairie Manitoba. We got up really early in the morning and headed out, it only took us 15 hours (including stops) to get there!
