Girl Guide Camp

SOAR - Spirit of Adventure Rendezvous

I am taking a bunch of girls to a Girl Guide camp on Vancouver Island in July. We got together with a few other groups going to the same camp for a pre camp. There will be about 2500 girls at this camp. I am excited about going but a little bit nervous as I have only met 5 of the 8 girls - ages 15 - 17+
Our camp on the weekend of June 22-24 was held just outside of Fernie at a fellow Guider's home in Hosmer. The view from our camp site was amazing, we also got to go for a little bit of a hike to see some of the Coke ovens where coal was once cooked to make coke. We also got to see a few of the abandoned buildings from when Hosmer was a booming town. It of fun getting to know the 5 girls. I will meet the other 3 girls on the Island in July.

Sarah and Jim's Wedding

May 5, 2007
It has taken me a while to post these photos of the wedding of Sarah (Scott's sister) and Jim, but here they are. It was a great weekend, the wedding was held at Scott's parents resort in Sorrento on the Shuswap Lake. The weather even behaved, no rain during the wedding although we were prepared for almost any thing mother nature could throw at us.

All the "girls" got our hair and makeup done that morning at a local salon. It was so much fun and relaxing to hang out before the wedding. This is my "before" photo

All the "girls" Lt to Rt: Sarah (the bride), Sarah's Mom (Margaret), Me (Bride's Maid), Krista (the Maid of Honor), Kelly (one of Sarah's friends from high school), Kathy (Jim's sister - Bride's Maid), and Jim's Mom
