5 Years.... Where did the time go?

5 years.... 2 kids.... what will the next 5 years bring? Happy Anniversary!!

6 Month Update

Some highlights from this past month:

Camping at BP Girl Guide Camp at Kootenay Lake, in a tent for 8 nights. Brynn did great!

She got to camp out with Grandma and Grandpa Stokes; Auntie Sarah, Uncle Jim, cousins Zoe & Hailey; Brad & Karen; Shaun & Marissa; Marta; Divana, Isaac & Mika.

Brynn is up on all fours (knees and elbows), then she lunges forward, by Sept 10 she was basically crawling. Just needs more co-ordination. 

Almost sitting by herself, no balance; if there is any backward motion she falls.

Brynn is really getting into rice cereal

New Foods:

Oatmeal

Carrots

Tofu

Apples

Bananas

Peas

Hummmm.... where's the food!

Yeah

Fully up on all fours, now to just coordinate all the motions for crawling 

First Day of Preschool

Elyse was so excited to start school this fall. She will be attending Monday, Wednesday, Friday morning sessions of playschool.

The Keyhole - BP Girl Guide Camp Aug 30 - Sept 8

Scott has really want to hike the Keyhole trail up to the Kokanee Glacier. We never got to do it before moving to Edmonton, so this summer when we were back at Kootenay Lake Scott and his dad planned to do the hike. We did part of this hike the summer of 2010 after Elyse was born, we skipped the rock scramble and just went to Kokanee Lake as we had Elyse in the backpack. BP Girl Guide Camp Aug 30 - Sept 8

We kept our reservation at the Girl Guide Camp on Kootenay Lake again this year, even though we have moved to Edmonton. We were joined at the camp by friends and family again this year. It was great to see everyone again.
Scott's mom and dad joined us for the whole time, our good friends Brad & Karen and Shaun & Marissa join us for the long weekend. Scott's sister and her family joined us for the second weekend we were at the lake. This year was the first time we have had rain, but we all enjoyed the good company and had the lodge to help keep us dry.
