We didn't have such a good weekend camping. It all started out on Friday, we left home late as the staff at my eye appointment were running behind. We barely got on Highway 16 west bound and the boat trailer got a flat tire. After limping the boat to the next exit and getting the tire changed, we stopped by Spruce Grove Canadian Tire to get another spare tire.We didn't want to chance going the rest of the way with out a spare. By the time we got to Lake Isle and set up camp it was really late, but lucky us it never really gets dark, as the summer solstice was last weekend.
It rained almost all day Saturday, but it was nice enough for Scott to go wake boarding Saturday evening with a friend's boat. We never even got out boat in the water! after all the trailer issues.
Saturday afternoon both Scott and Brynn got stung by some sort of bug at the playground, and then Brynn got her thumb stuck in the chain of the swing and fell off while it was stuck; she seems to be ok.
The weather held and the fireworks show was fantastic on Saturday night. Then it absolutely bucketed rain Saturday night and into Sunday morning. Sunday morning we woke up to Elyse needing to use the bathroom (which was a bit of distance away) every 1/2 hour, she didn't make it at least 3 times and we had run out of clean dry clothes for her, she also was complaining about it hurting.
So we packed up, and drove back to the city, got a prescription for her for a UTI and proceeded to unpack and dry everything out. We were planning on camping until Monday as Scott took the day off, but with the series of bad luck and Elyse not feeling good home was the better option. I didn't get any photos of camping with the SLR, and just a couple with my phone. So here is the photo I took today to summarize
our camping trip: The tent set up in the garage with a tarp flung over it drying out!

Sprinkler
It was finally warm enough to put the sprinkler out for the girls. Elyse has been bugging me to do this since we came home from Hawaii. They didn't last long as the water was quite cold and there was a bit of a breeze.

Cross Lake Provincial Park June 20-22, 2014
We decided to check out a provincial campground about 2 hours drive north-west of Edmonton. We brought the boat along and did manage to get it into the water on Saturday afternoon. The girls had so much fun camping, it was a bit chilly in the mornings but warmed up by the afternoon.
What would camping be in Alberta if you didn't have to wear your toque and mitts?!

Frozen
There was a Roots for Trees festival today, at a local park. We volunteers at the festival to plant trees.
Elyse is really into the movie Frozen, she got to pick her temporary glitter tattoo, she got a Frozen inspired Snowflake.

| Elyse got to meet Elsa at a friend's birthday party at the beginning of June. She doesn't look excited in the photo but she hasn't stopped talking about meeting her since. |
