Drumheller - Royal Tyrrell Museum

Since moving to Edmonton we have wanted to go to Drumheller and show Elyse all the dinosaurs. Then we saw Amazing Race Canada this spring and really wanted to check out Horse Thief Canyon, near Drumheller, but with how busy we were this summer it didn't happen.
I was doing some reading and it was recommended to go in the fall when it wasn't smokin' hot or busy. We decided to do a day trip down to Drumheller, with the idea that if we didn't get it all done we would stay the night.
It was a pleasant 22 C and for the beginning of October, that was fantastic! Elyse had so much fun at the museum, I loved the views from Horse Thief Canyon, the other highlight was the World's Largest Dinosaur, which you could climb all the way up inside to it's mouth!

T-Rex!
The museum had lots of other displays, portraying before dinosaurs and the mammals rise after they died off

Elyse loved measuring herself up against the dinosaur leg.
She insisted that Scott and I had to measure ourselves too!
