Mexico Trip Wednesday Dec. 13 - Snorkeling

On our last day in Mexico, the weather was finally good enough to go snorkeling. We did this in the morning before the afternoon clouds rolled in. It was great we organized it with Jimmy fishing guy on the beach next to the resort. We went out on the " La Nina' " we got to see both resorts from the water, a neat view after seeing them from land for our whole trip.

The boat ride was up the coast from the resort only about 5 minutes where we got to snorkel for about an hour and 15 mins, after which I promptly got back into the boat and was super super sea sick. So now I can add an ocean going boat to my list of things that make me sick. Although I don't get sick when Scott and I are out on the lake or when I go wake boarding.... hummmm... must be the waves on the ocean?

The amount of different fish that we got to see was amazing. We did a bit of snorkeling in Hawaii (on the big island, Nov. 2005), and only saw a few fish and a sea turtle (but we went out in a high surf warning - I guess that is why we didn't see much there) But it was great in Mexico. My favorite fish was a smallish blue one with electric blue out-lining its dark blue spots. Too bad we don't have an underwater digital camera.
