Gold Medal Hockey

We had tickets to the Olympic closing cermonies, so we decided to go visit with Scott's brother Brian earlier in the day. Brian lives down town Vancouver and you can see BC Place from his balcony. It was also lucky that Scott's mom and dad were visiting with Brian so Elyse got to see her Grandma and Grandpa.

Scott really wanted to get hockey tickets when we orginally put into the lottery for tickets, but no such luck. Since we didn't have tickets to the gold medal hockey game we got to watch it at Brian's with Scott's mom and dad. It was amazing when Canada scored, the whole city erupted in cheers. We had Brian's balcony door open, and you could hear everyone cheering. After Canda won, we went for a walk to soak in the celebrations. We walked up Smithe to Granville and at that point it was a wall of people, and with Elyse with us we didn't want to get too much into the crush.
