When we bought this house, we were planning on making a gate in the fence, so we could put the boat into the backyard.
Phase 1:
Phase 1:
Take down exsisting fence to allow room for the gate.
Complete
A little more complicated that first anticipated (hope this isn't a sign of the rest of the project). The fence was built right into the corner, the small piece of fence around the corner had to be taken off too and rebuilt back in to place. We figure this was done before, as that little section of fence is a slightly darker colour than the rest, as seen in the photo below on the right hand side.
Phase 2:
Remove fence post to put in new location.
Not Completed Today, maybe tomorrow...
The 6"x6" fence post are 10' tall and about 3-4' of it cemented in. Digging didn't work, renting a jack hammer, didn't work. Tomorrow we will just cut it off, buy a new post and fill in the hole!
The beginning of a huge hole... the post isn't even wiggling
Elyse loved playing in her "sandbox" while we were working, and Brynn slept for a couple hours at a time so I could help
Ok, time to use the jackhammer
Fence post 1 : Scott 0 - We'll have to try again tomorrow...
