Magic Sands, Kona and Kahalu'u

Our second day in Hawaii was also very low key, after breakfast we all headed into Kona.
Elyse, Grandma and Great-Grandma when shopping and the rest of us went to check out the Kona Brewery, something that Scott and I failed to do last time we were in Kona.

Breakfast on the lanai
Great Grandma and Elyse, hanging out by the seawall in Kona after a morning of shopping
Sea turtle resting at the beach park next to our condo
Once we got back to the Condo, had some lunch we got ready to head to the beach. As the waves were still quite large at Magic Sands next door, we headed down Alii Drive to Kahalu'u Bay. A great spot to snorkel even when the surf is up, as there is a large breakwater across almost the whole bay (built by ancient Hawaiians).
Blowing bubbles by the pool outside our condo before heading out to the beach
Papa and my dad deep in conversation
Some of us hanging out on the beach
Elyse off to get more water!
