August 25 - September 9, 2010

So it has been for ever since I have last posted, but Elyse and I have hardly been home. After we got home from the Guide Camp in August, we had 2 1/2 days at home before Elyse and I flew up to visit my parents in Quesnel. While we there, my sister, her boyfriend, his brother and sister arrived, along with my Aunts Sylvia and Hilda, as they were all heading out on the Bowron Lakes Canoe tour.

The first time in quite a while that we have gotten out whole family together
The gang heading out on the canoe tour: Ken and Carrie in left canoe, Auntie Sylvia and Dad in the middle canoe and Ken's brother Andrew and Sister Lorraine in the canoe on the right

While Dad was out on the Browron Chain, Elyse and I visited with my mom. Mom and Dad were renting a couple of their rooms to student who were working for the summer in Barkerville. One of the girls had a chinchilla, and Elyse loved playing with it.

Mom, Elyse and I went to town to visit with Dan and Leah, they always volunteer at the local SPCA on their day off, so mom, Elyse and I joined them. Here is Elyse and I walking a puppy, called Chance.

Elyse loved chewing the rest of the meat off of a rib bone
While Elyse and I were visiting my dad decided it was time to sell his old truck. We had to pose for a photo in front of it as, this was the truck that my dad and mom brought me home from the hospital in!

It was definitely fall weather in Quesenel when we were visiting, Elyse had to be bundled up to go for a walk.
My dad didn`t shave after he came home from his canoe trip, Elyse loved to reach out a feel his beard
