Brynn's Arm

Brynn on our way to school to pick Elyse up
Just because she is looking super cute in a hat and scarf set that Elyse use to wear that we got from my Auntie Sylvia
Elyse, Scott and Brynn were playing Mario Cart on the Wii this evening. We give Brynn the portion of the Wii controller that plugs is when it's needed, so she feels like she is playing. She tripped over the cord and we think she landed on the plug with her elbow.
We finally got her calmed down about 20 minutes after she fell, but she was holding her arm and if she went to reach with it the she melted down again.
We made the decision to head to the ER at the Stollery (a dedicated kids hospital and ER department). We were seen by a Dr and Radiologist who both couldn't confirm if she fractured her arm or not. Both suspected she did chip the end of her humerus/at the elbow, so into a half-cast/splint until she could be seen by the Orthopedics specialist in about a week.
Good thing it is in a half-cast as we can take it off for baths.
A little bit of Tylenol and Advil, she is acting like nothing happened until we take the half-cast off.
About 1 am waiting for her half-cast to go on. She finally fell asleep about 10 minutes before the Dr saw her

Half-cast is on and we get to go home!. We got home around 2 am, it was a slow morning the next day

Update:
Dr Appointment on Tuesday May 5, 2015
Orthopedic specialist still can't confirm if her arm is fractured but suspects it is.
In little ones, their bones are still forming and little chip/white spot they see in the x rays could be cartilage/bone still forming or it could be a chip from the end of her humerus.
Treatment: Leave a half-cast on for another 10 days.
Standard treatment for fractured in little ones like this is 3 weeks in a cast, and with another 10 days that will equal 3 weeks

Having fun and acting like nothing even happened, new half cast with her wrist free this time
Update #2:
Friday May 15, 2015
Half-cast is off!!
