Elyse's Room

We still had some time for a home improvement project after our busy May Long Weekend. So Scott and I put up Elyse's new Black-out Blind and Valence. And I put the skirt on her crib.

This is a set that my sister, Carrie and I picked out when we were in Ontario visiting back in Feburary. It is named Julia by Kidsline. It goes well with the light green walls, white trim and of course it isn't too frilly/girly, just the right amount of pink flowers. We also put up a black-out blind up because Elyse's window faces south and the sun shines directly into the room first thing in the morning, we are hoping the blind will give us a bit more sleep!

I finally found an online store that sold only the valence and skirt, every place I found sold this pattern in a whole nursery set. Of course the online store was from out of the states, but since we live so close to the border and there is a store just into Idaho that will accept and hold parcels for Canadians, I ordered the skirt and valence.
